And wow, what a place! Located at 655 Booth Street in Reno, across from Reno high, next to Round Table Pizza (which also has a nice buffet, by the way), it was completely hidden in plain view. I had been to the Chinese food place several times and never even knew it was there.
Anyway, back to the review. The atmosphere is really nice. Very cute, just like a cupcake... (duh!). There are signs on the wall similar to the one above, stating several different types of cupcakes they have for sale. But they don't carry just cupcakes. They also carry cake truffles and sugar cookies among other types of cookies. Everything is made right there on the premises, and people can watch the magic happen right there.
I would also like to comment on the awesome music that was playing in the background. It wasn't too loud as to not be able to converse and not to quiet as to not know that it was there. It was a pleasant blend of oldies which was really fitting to the decor.
The ladies behind the counter were super nice. They are flexible enough to make custom cupcakes and they also have a diabetic menu for those who need a little less sugar intake. A few of my friends who were there today got cupcakes without frosting.
And they are open to allowing large groups at a moment's notice. That's always nice. There is plenty of parking, as it is in a plaza and their items are kept in a cooled display case allowing everything to maintain its moist texture.
They have to go containers that keep the cupcakes in place so they travel well. Besides, who wouldn't want some of these delicious goodies to take home?
The ladies were also kind enough to allow a few of us to photograph some of their items that we consumed today. Everything was really good!
